For the second year in a row, global CEOs and recruiters polled by The New York Times have voted Monash University the best University in Australia from which to hire graduates.
The annual survey by the prestigious New York Times newspaper placed Monash 32nd in the world, up from 47th in 2011.
The leap of 15 places also makes Monash the leader for the Oceania region and the only Victorian university to make the list of 100 higher education institutions.
The survey canvassed the views of almost 5000 chief executives, managers and recruiters in 20 countries on their preferred global institutions ugg boots uk outlet from which to recruit.
Monash ViceChancellor and President Professor Ed Byrne said the results capped off an outstanding year for the University, which has improved across a number of international rankings systems.

This international survey is a powerful measure of how successful we have been in producing educated global citizens," Professor Byrne said.

In 2012, Monash entered the top 100 in the respected Times Higher Education World University Rankings. In the QS World Rankings, the University is rated at 61 and, earlier this year, it achieved its best ever result of 137 in the Academic Ranking of World Universities, compiled by Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
The University's Faculty of Business and Economics also recently placed 26th in the world in the Research Papers in Economics (RePEc) rankings.
The employability survey at The New York Times website includes the full list of Universities, placing Harvard University first. Ivy League and Oxbridge institutions dominated the top ten.
